Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information collected during a visit, its uses, and the limited circumstances in which another service may receive it. By continuing to use Dyer County Court Docket, you accept the practices stated here.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A query entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside company that provides the tool. That company processes the name or case number and supplies its result. We do not keep a separate log of those query terms on our systems.

Messages and Contact Submissions

We retain an email or contact message as needed to respond. It is not disclosed outside our organization unless a valid legal duty requires disclosure.

Data We Gather Automatically

Our servers receive routine technical information when a page loads, including:

  • Your device's IP address
  • Browser name and version
  • Operating system and device category
  • Pages viewed and time spent on them
  • A referring website, when supplied
  • The time of each request

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files placed on a device. They and analytics services help summarize visits, popular pages, and exit points. A browser can reject cookies, although doing so may change how some site functions behave.

What We Do With This Data

  • Operating, securing, and improving site performance
  • Passing a search request to the selected provider
  • Measuring which content visitors use
  • Diagnosing faults and service interruptions
  • Displaying advertising that may reflect interests

No Court-Record Data on File

Dyer County Court Docket does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of official dockets or personal case files. It publishes routing information for the Circuit Court Clerk, Clerk and Master, municipal clerks, and Tennessee appellate search. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports about other people.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies power the search boxes. A partner's own privacy terms govern data entered there, including its retention and disclosure choices. Review those terms before submitting a query because this policy does not control the partner's system.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to Dyer County offices, Tennessee courts, legal resources, or outside search providers. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's privacy policy applies. Read it before providing personal data.

Advertising companies may use their own technology to measure activity across websites and select ads. Their systems, not ours, control that tracking.

Who Might See Your Data

We do not sell personal information. Data may be received by:

  • A search provider processing a submitted query
  • Analytics vendors measuring use and performance
  • Advertising networks serving ads
  • A government body when disclosure is compelled by valid legal process

How We Protect Your Data

Reasonable security practices protect information in our control. No internet service can promise absolute security, however, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur.

Users Under 18

The site is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If such information is identified, contact us so it can be removed.

Your Data Rights

Applicable privacy and consumer-protection law may provide additional rights. Court-record access is separately governed by the Tennessee Public Records Act and Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 34; those authorities do not turn this private site into a court-record custodian. Subject to applicable law, you may:

  • Request access to personal data we hold
  • Ask that inaccurate data be corrected
  • Seek deletion where the law permits it
  • Object to or opt out of certain processing

Updates to This Policy

This policy may be revised. A replacement takes effect when posted here with an updated effective date, so visitors should review it periodically.
